Why else would contestants volunteer for this Turkish atheists-convert reality show: to prostrate themselves several times a day at Mecca just for the thrill of it?

    Beats me. Maybe it’s the guaranteed lifetime subscription to “Better Hamas and Burkhas”.

    This sounds like a parody ‘reality show’ I saw on YouTube some months back called “God Loves Me Best”, where they put an Evangelical Christian, a Roman Catholic, an Atheist, a Jew, a Buddhist, and a Wiccan in the same apartment. I thought the idea was funny about 15 years ago. MTV played the idea to death with The Real World and Dave Chapelle had some fun with it putting one preppy white dude in an apartment with the craziest black people he could find.

    I think I’ll skip this and keep watching South Park, but I’m sure that they’l get a following, and TBN or some other American evanglist tv station will come out with something similar…perhaps putting a Jew, a Mormon, a Catholic, and an Atheist in the same flat with a couple preachers…

    If one of the contestants tries ou Islam but then rejects it, would they technically be apostates?
