And then there’s this:
Every single human being has an intrinsic value and right to life and we may not tamper with it. That is the order of things. The first premise. We must, as Christians, reason our actions from there.
Well, Rebecca, that’s a familiar argument, but it does not address the issue of the individual who wishes to end his or her life, but, through incapacity, is unable to do so. Your insistence that doctors may not grant that person his or her wish is about as bad an example of “tampering” with a life as I can imagine.
And, oh yes, it’s cruel too…

Wow, Mrs Hamilton was not on my radar, but she is now. After reading other articles of hers, all I can say is she is trying to make a virtue out of having a “persecution” complex.
It seems she is passionately FOR every human right except right to choice. Here is another quote of hers:
” ‘Leave your faith at home.’ I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard that. It’s right up there with “Separation of Church and State,” which a good number of ignorant souls seem to think is written down somewhere in the Constitution of the United States of America.”
Well, not only does she believe in a “soul”, but also seems to think that it is the repository of one’s knowledge, rather than the brain… frankly I don’t know where HERS is but it is somewhere rather scary.
One can voice their religious opinion all they want to… but when they attempt to put it into legislation, or block what I consider a basic Human Right because it does not conform to their religion, then that person may expect a great deal of verbal persecution on my part.
