Well, this is has been one unexpected day. \u00a0I’ve fixed the RSS I hope. \u00a0More fixes no doubt to come. \u00a0But I decided that looking at the comments some data might be warranted. \u00a0Who are the Secular Right?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0To answer that question I looked at the General Social Survey<\/a>. \u00a0The GOD variable has the following options:<\/p>\n

Don’t Believe<\/p>\n

No Way To Find Out<\/p>\n

Some Higher Power<\/p>\n

Believe Sometimes<\/p>\n

Believe But Doubts<\/p>\n

Know God Exists<\/p>\n

I classified the first 4 as “Secular,” and the last 2 as “Religious.” \u00a0I then split the Seculars into the Right and Left half politically (so moderates are excluded). \u00a0Additionally, I took the Religious and limited them to avowed Fundamentalists who were on the political Right. \u00a0Therefore, I constructed 3 categories, “Secular Center-Right,” “Secular Center-Left” and “Religious Right,” and compared a host of variables. \u00a0You can see the results in the charts below.<\/p>\n
