{"id":6323,"date":"2011-09-07T18:20:17","date_gmt":"2011-09-07T18:20:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/secularright.org\/SR\/wordpress\/?p=6323"},"modified":"2011-09-07T18:44:52","modified_gmt":"2011-09-07T18:44:52","slug":"death-by-commission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secularright.org\/SR\/wordpress\/death-by-commission\/","title":{"rendered":"Death by Commission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amy Zegart,\u00a0 a senior fellow at Stanford&#8217;s Hoover Institution, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/opinion\/commentary\/la-oe-zegart-alqaeda-20110907,0,1792588.story\">warns in the <em>Los Angeles Times<\/em> today <\/a>that the U.S. sure as heck better not ratchet down its massive anti-terrorism efforts and its still-lingering fear rhetoric:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The fight is nowhere close to being won, and America&#8217;s most perilous times may lie ahead.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Among her evidence for the ongoing, even escalating, nature of the threat, especially from weapons of mass destruction:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In 1995, a Japanese cult released sarin nerve gas in the Tokyo subway, killing 12 people and injuring thousands.
