{"id":5996,"date":"2011-06-06T15:54:52","date_gmt":"2011-06-06T15:54:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/secularright.org\/SR\/wordpress\/?p=5996"},"modified":"2011-06-06T15:54:52","modified_gmt":"2011-06-06T15:54:52","slug":"helping-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secularright.org\/SR\/wordpress\/helping-out\/","title":{"rendered":"Helping Out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the general matter of assisted suicide:<\/p>\n<p>(1) I couldn&#8217;t care less what people with ideological or theological fixations think.\u00a0 They are entitled to their intellectual pleasures, but they have no right to foist their conclusions on citizens of a free society.<\/p>\n<p>(2) The only jurisprudential objection to assisted suicide is that if it is permitted, then it will be easier for ingenious people to commit homicide.<\/p>\n<p>This seems to me to be true.
