{"id":4243,"date":"2010-06-30T22:33:57","date_gmt":"2010-06-30T22:33:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/secularright.org\/SR\/wordpress\/?p=4243"},"modified":"2010-06-30T22:33:57","modified_gmt":"2010-06-30T22:33:57","slug":"an-agnostic-manifesto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secularright.org\/SR\/wordpress\/an-agnostic-manifesto\/","title":{"rendered":"An Agnostic Manifesto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Judging by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2258484\/\" target=\"_blank\">this <\/a>entertaining new piece in<em> Slate<\/em>, I suspect that Ron Rosenbaum may have been spending a little <em>too<\/em> much time thinking about this whole God-or-not thing (a fruitless debate, if ever I saw one), and\u00a0his idea of a &#8220;new agnosticism&#8221; doesn&#8217;t delight, but there&#8217;s still plenty in\u00a0Rosenbaum&#8217;s\u00a0&#8220;manifesto&#8221; to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>This was a good start:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Let&#8217;s get one thing straight: Agnosticism is not some kind of weak-tea atheism. Agnosticism is not atheism or theism.
