{"id":371,"date":"2008-12-02T07:53:20","date_gmt":"2008-12-02T15:53:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/secularright.org\/wordpress\/?p=371"},"modified":"2008-12-05T18:08:47","modified_gmt":"2008-12-06T02:08:47","slug":"mystery-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secularright.org\/SR\/wordpress\/mystery-man\/","title":{"rendered":"Mystery Man"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/seven\/12022008\/news\/regionalnews\/god_scientist_sues_reagan_foundation_141822.htm\">This story in this morning&#8217;s <em>New York Post<\/em><\/a> caught my eye.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He&#8217;s developed a scientific theory to prove God&#8217;s existence, but a wealthy Upper East Side man can&#8217;t figure out what happened to his $200,000 donation to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Sills\u00a0\u2014 an eccentric educator\/scientist\/poet who has run for president\u00a0\u2014 has filed suit against the Great Communicator&#8217;s foundation for allegedly keeping him in the dark about what it&#8217;s doing with his money\u00a0\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Sills, a computer scientist, offers up his scientific proof of God based on what he calls, &#8220;The Law of Opposites.&#8221; He concludes since there&#8217;s no evidence of God&#8217;s existence, God must exist.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, that seems to me like a promising approach. Who is Richard Sills, though? For a guy who&#8217;s run for president, he&#8217;s left a remarkably thin trail. All I could find on a quick google was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lovegod.ws\/473.html?*session*id*key*=*session*id*val*\">this<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On Wednesday June 6, 2001, the back page of the Business Day section of <em>The New York Times<\/em> was devoted to Richard Sills&#8217; &#8220;A Scientific Proof of The Existence of God&#8221;\u00a0\u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure the businesspersons of New York found that very improving.
