Vatican Math

Via El Pais:

The Spanish Catholic Church is also concerned about homosexuality. During his Boxing Day sermon, the Bishop of Córdoba, Demetrio Fernández, said there was a conspiracy by the United Nations. “The Minister for Family of the Papal Government, Cardinal Antonelli, told me a few days ago in Zaragoza that UNESCO has a program for the next 20 years to make half the world population homosexual. To do this they have distinct programs, and will continue to implant the ideology that is already present in our schools.”

With Andrew and his dishy blog, it’s either nonstop Israel-bashing or the lavender avenue.

The Atlantic’s loss is their gain, but what was Tina Brown thinking? !!!

I first read the title of this posting as “Vatican Myth”. Same thing, I’d say.

  3. The same-sex oriented are a small minority: they have to be portrayed as some great corrupting threat or repressing homosexuals is obviously a large majority seeking to monstrously bully a small and vulnerable minority.

It is exactly the same dynamic as why Jews have had to be portrayed as monstrously powerful and corrupting.

I am going to make a prediction. Here it is: Heterosexuality is going to remain the popular option, preferred by vast majorities, for a long time, and nothing UNESCO, or Hollywood, or an organization of men in skirts that has been, for a long time, a safe career haven for men of minority sexual tastes, will change that.

Ermm, doesn’t the Catholic church have its own well-established program for facilitating homosexual behavior: the seminary?
