  1. Jay says:

The “rise” of paganism? Paganism absorbed Christianity without breaking stride and has been the dominant Western religion since always. See Christianity’s cheerful adoption of pagan concepts such as souls, an afterlife, hell which now constitute most “Christian’s” core beliefs.

  2. Susan says:

Not to speak of Mithra’s Day: December 25.

  3. Jeeves says:

He didn’t say “fundamentally, radically, transformationally pagan”? Must be getting tired.

  4. Snippet says:

    Did Pagan’s support gay marriage?

    I had no idea.

  5. John D says:

Snippet, one of the early Christian emperors of Rome outlawed it. It would seem that his pagan predecessors must have permitted it.

I feel that Gingrich is just one more proof that arguments against same-sex marriage lack any coherence.

  6. For as smart as Gingrich is, he sure likes to poke the atheists with statements like this. When I was deciding on a name for my blog, I was tempted by the word “pagan,” but liked the sound of “heathen” much better.
