Keeping terror apocalypticism alive

Ueberhawk U.S. Representative Peter King, speaking about the Benghazi attack on WABC radio today, announced that the threat from Al Qaeda was “if anything, greater than before,” now that its central leadership has been dismantled.   Why did I see that coming?

Every serious analysis I’ve read about Al Qaeda reminds me of a “cartel” like type of set up. It consists of loosely coupled, fairly independent factions amongst which the various leaders may cooperate to a degree, and jockey for power and influence.

They would only become “more dangerous” if somehow the leaders we took out were in some way restraining the efforts of the constituent groups… unless he is making the “stirred up the hornets nest” argument. It was a silly, illogical assertion which will nevertheless find resonance with the easily resonated.

It may or may not have set back some “projects” already in the works by a month or two, but probably not by much. I am sure there are plenty of ambitious Jihadi “lieutenants” more than ready to step right into those spots recently vacated thanks to our drones.

Perhaps the important thing to remember is that just like Al Qaeda leaders, ours must also separately prep their respective constituencies for war.

If you cannot comprehend them, do not try to analyze them.

They are not “American,” they are not us. I know. I’ve been there. The problem Rep King and you have is that you think you can comment upon their behavior from your lense. You are BOTH idiots.

They thrive on the most basal instincts of masculinity. Western society will lose until it accepts this fact.

While I despise Obama’s policy of capital punishment without due process on a constitutional basis, it is the first step in undesatanding what it takes to defeat these people. Violent death is what they want. Dealing violent death upon them takes care of but one. Dealing violent death upon them all is the only way to solve it.

JC Penney – With all due respect, you only see them, and me through YOUR OWN PERSONAL LENSE. One person, one lense. I have much more experience with middle eastern men than you know. Trust me, I know full well the chauvenist, misogenist, backward programming that makes them treat women as if they are a horse or a mule that they may deal with as they wish. I find it archaic and disgusting. All the worse that they use their religion as a hypocritical, self-righteous excuse to do so.

I am not a woman, nor have I lived “over there” but I have read the stories of women who have. I have had the misfortune of having to train Saudi Arabian men who were sent over to learn basic RF electronics, because the US had sold their country the weapons systems. The words and attitudes that came out of their mouths made me utterly ashamed to be of the same species as they. Nothing would please me more than to see the men who commit these abuses, and Islam in general, vanish from the earth.

Therefore while it is tempting for me to call YOU an idiot for presuming anything about my experience, education on political or military issues concerning the middle east, I will refrain. You fundamentally misunderstood the point I was making then chose to be more insulting than was deserved.

In any event, if you were at all familiar with writing I have done on the islamists, you would know that I have not a shred of sympathy for the idea of cutting them any slack whatsoever. The sooner that entire backwards repressionist religion is relegated the history books, the better.

It is apparent that you have a deep hatred of them, and wish all manner of violence and suffering upon them. Unfortunately you will not be able to kill all of them by verbally attacking people like me who are actually in agreement with you.

Western society is not losing to them, our societies are doing just fine. The issue is to what degree are we willing to go in and try to effect change “over there”. Can citizens in western countries be persuaded to sacrifice their own lives and treasure for what sometimes seems a hopeless cause.

Finally, you fundamentally contradict yourself in the same paragraph. first you say you despise O’bama for capital punishment without due process… but then you say Dealing violent death upon them all is the only solution. Make up your mind.
